The Indian market for laser welding systems has great potential. However, it is a challenging market with a high degree of cost sensitivity. Lengthy and difficult negotiations regarding prices and delivery terms are to be expected. Without experienced sales and service partners on the ground, success in India is almost impossible. Highly complex and feature-rich solutions are generally not the right choice there.
To meet the demands of the Indian market, ARNOLD RAVENBURG Therefore, a new simplified laser welding cell was developed and has already been sold to customers in India.
The sale was carried out in close cooperation with the competent team of Unique engineers from Pune. The team supported us with the technical and commercial negotiations, the contract signing, and also with the final acceptance at Arnold in Germany. Unique Engineers will also support us with the machine installation and in case of warranty claims.
The system is suitable for welding round parts, here Gearbox parts with a maximum diameter of 250 mm. The cycle time per component is approximately 20 seconds, meaning that with optimal machine utilization, up to 4000 parts can be produced per day.
A 4 kW Trufibre 4001 laser from Trumpf with Brightline was used as the beam source. Brightline is A solution patented by Trumpf allows the laser beam to be flexibly distributed within a fiber core and a fiber ring inside an optical fiber. By adjusting the power distribution, a significant reduction in spatter can be achieved during deep penetration welding.

Precise concentricity axes with accuracies of 0,01 mm, fast component changes and setup times guarantee high output and precision in the welding process. Process monitoring, in this case online monitoring of the welding process, ensures process quality despite the high demands placed on seemingly simple components. The system can be delivered in 4-5 months.
