Arnold GmbH is currently developing a system for laser deburring from edges. This finishing process is used in various areas, including metals and glasses.
Any burrs caused by mechanical processing, e.g. in the case of stamped parts, are melted using a laser beam, thereby rounding off the edges. Particularly high cleanliness requirements for aluminum housings from electromobility require appropriate post-processing. This technology will be state of the art here in the future.
