Laser direct plating

Laser direct plating

Arnold Ravensburg has developed and manufactured a new special-purpose machine for the Fraunhofer Institute in Dresden for the relatively new process of laser direct plating . In this process, strip segments are wound onto a cylinder and bonded to the cylinder using a laser beam and contact pressure. The cylinders can be approximately 2 meters long and 500 mm in diameter.

The system can be easily reconfigured for various diameters and is suitable for testing the process with a wide range of material combinations. Smaller production runs are also possible.
