In July of this year, the Arnold company was able to deliver a newly developed flex cell to a well-known customer in the valves and fittings construction industry in North Rhine Westphalia, Germany.
The special features of this flex cell compared to the current one are:
A large sized sliding door at the side for the best possible access to the internal system components. This opening can be used for the convenient dismantling of for example a rotary and swiveling axis. This door also serves as a loading option for large, heavy parts by means of lifting gear (e.g. indoor crane). At the front there is a two-part sliding door for loading small and medium-sized series parts.
The system is used for laser coating and “armoring” of bearing seats and other high-stress components.
The optimized travel paths of the NC controlled axes (X-Y-Z) complete the system concept and offer a large work area with comparatively lower system size.
